It's when I wake up in the fresh sheets, the sun filtering through the blinds the distant sounds of water that I realise this is a similar, if not the same four poster bed that we have at the lake house. I smile, eyes still closed feeling Jay with me sleeping.

I smile again and dare to open my eyes and glance at my ring that I refuse to take off. Even in sleep. When I open my eyes, I'm dazzled by the ring. It's a rock, but it is perfect. It's stunning in fact. Totally real and I didn't dream the whole thing up. I smile again closing my eyes. Feeling Jays arms on my hips his hands resting over my stomach. I shuffle even closer into him.

Upon dressing in the seperate changing space where the walk in wardrobe is, I place on a red bikini top plus sunscreen and sunglasses. A little skirt and sandals completes the look as he eyes me and smiles opening up the vintage drop top car. The heat is sweltering in the morning and there’s not even the hint of a breeze, the sun bounces off of the pale blue car as I slide into the leather seats and pull my sunglasses on.

I recount all of those mornings sitting next to him in the lecture hall denying that I was attracted to him, his continuous comments all to keep -as conversation with me. Our constant game of cat and mouse and all of the silly arguments. All of the parties where we made out with each other behind closed doors and then denied each other the following day. Saying his name in my sleep and dreaming about him before we even got here. And now we are here completely sure about one another, wildly in love and both ready for forever.
