Obsidian, mournful squares at this funeral

I can't see my reflection

Good, 'cause I'm the robber

Of his youth, spitting image of my grandfather, bawling, "Please"

Face to face with my own mortality as he's lowered into the earth

Just six feet out of reach

Tortured, tormented soul, going on and nobody knows

The martyr battling the grief

Wondering, "Is this what it means?"

"Oh, is this what it means to be"

"Saintly?"

Just feeling like no cathedral

Deo volente, or any haloed Gabriel

Can save me, help me out
