Just finished watching Suzume no Tojimari and I'm again awed by the astounding graphics, sound design and voice acting of Makoto Shinkai's films. I want to run. I realise Makoto Shinkai films have a lot of running in them, whether it's away or towards something (mostly towards). It makes me want to run too, both physically and metaphorically. But... I don't know what to chase after. It's not like I have someone-that-I-met-for-a-week-but-I-already-love-them or something. Anyone want to go on an impulsive trip overseas with me? The closest I've gone is a 5-day hike with no service and a bunch of strangers... along with my family. The boring part was walking, but it was fun playing card games with everyone, and since we went on a premium guided walk, we had a nice cabin to sleep in and provided three-course meals for dinner and breakfast. But at the end of the walk, I returned back to my house, sat on the couch, and had an existential crisis. Just like that, it was back to normal. YOU KNOW ANOTHER GOOD ANIME?
